PUNTA GORDA — Michael Piperato is a strong guy, but even he was struggling a bit to handle the box full of food from the Harry Chapin Food Bank, brimming over with a five-pound bag of potatoes, eight ears of corn, rice and beans, cereal, a big bag of oranges and, for the holidays, some pumpkin pie filling.
