ARCADIA — A Fort Myers federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted two former DeSoto County Sheriff’s deputies on several charges related to a May 2013 incident in which a detainee, Jody Holland, claims to have been beaten by deputies at the DeSoto County Jail.

In the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Steven Joseph Rizza and Jonathan Robert Mause were indicted on charges of perjury to a grand jury and falsification of records in a federal investigation.
