PUNTA GORDA — An ad hoc citizens committee formed to develop a wish list of projects to be funded with penny sales-tax dollars completed its final tally Thursday.
After months of hearing from various constituencies throughout the city, the 14-member sales tax steering committee unanimously approved $12 million worth of projects that will be submitted to the Punta Gorda City Council on April 16 for final approval. Once approved, the list will be presented to voters as those items the city will prioritize, should they vote to renew the countywide tax on their November ballots.
