Area pharmacy owner, manager face 20 years

ENGLEWOOD — A federal jury on Thursday found the local owner and store manager of an area pharmacy guilty of prescription-drug and money-laundering charges.

According to a report from the U.S. Department of Justice, Middle District of Florida, the jury found the owner of Fort Myers-based Gulf Coast Medical Pharmacy, Jeffrey R. Green, 50, of Englewood; and pharmacy manager Karen S. Hebble, 44, also of Englewood, guilty of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and alprazolam, as well as conspiracy to commit money laundering. Green additionally was found guilty of six counts of money laundering, and Hebble of two counts of the same.
