PORT CHARLOTTE — Following a marriage-counseling session with his pastor, a Port Charlotte man allegedly stabbed his wife with a butcher knife Saturday, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
The pastor had been called to the home of Jeanwell Napoleon, 50, 1300 block of Truval Terrace, by Napoleon’s wife for counseling, a report stated. Napoleon allegedly became upset, telling the pastor he believed his wife was going to leave him. Just after the pastor left around 5 p.m., Napoleon allegedly attacked his wife with a 6-inch butcher knife. A family friend heard screaming, saw Napoleon with the weapon and disarmed him, authorities said.
