County abolishing its code enforcement board

MURDOCK — The Charlotte County Code Enforcement Board, whose monthly hearings are among the most-watched government programs on CC-TV, is being canceled.

The seven-member board will be disbanded July 3, allowing a special magistrate to take over, a move that county commissioners say will improve efficiency and possibly reduce costs.
