The recovery of the area’s real estate market is best illustrated by the shortages it’s created.

“We’re having trouble getting listings, because everybody knows (values are rising). Some of the sellers think, ‘Well, I don’t have to sell right now. And if it went up 10 percent this year, then I’m going to wait until season gets here and see if it goes up more,” said Bob “Fig” Newton, a manager at Coldwell Banker Sunstar Morris.
