The Cape Coral woman who claims Bayfront Health Port Charlotte infringed on her rights as a female and as a mother by only offering to deliver her baby via c-section will continue with her lawsuit against the hospital, her attorney said Monday.
Jennifer Goodall, 29, made national headlines after the National Advocates for Pregnant Women announced Friday the group had filed a complaint in federal court — on Goodall’s behalf — against BHPC, alleging emotional distress. Goodall was notified July 10 — about a week before her due date — that the hospital would only deliver her baby via Caesarean surgery, citing health risks.
