Eugene M. Hinze, 92, of Port Charlotte, Fa., died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Harbour Health Center, Port Charlotte.
He was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Aurora, Ind., to Rudolph and Anna Hinze.
Mr. Hinze was the retired owner and operator of Runge Foundry Cost Systems. In 1990 he moved to Port Charlotte from Lehigh Acres, Fla., with his wife of 67 years, Mary Imogene Hinze, who died in 2007. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte.
Mr. Hinze is survived by his loving family, his wife, Rose June Stuhler Hinze of Port Charlotte; three daughters, Eloise J. Brandes of Mansfield, Ohio, Rosemary J. Short of Bigfork, Mont., and Virginia J. Gibbs of Jonesboro, Ga.; son, Kenneth Hinze of Linden, Mich.; sister, Gertrude M. Jiede of Oviedo, Fla.; brother, Ralph W. Hinze of Punta Gorda, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Anna Hinze; and his wife, Mary Imogene Hinze.
There will be a memorial mass 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.
