Patricia C. Cosgrove, 76, of Port Charlotte, Fla., went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov.15, 2013, under the care of hospice.
She was born March 17, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Anton and Crescentia (nee Muller) Lieb.
Patricia worked for ITE Company in Philadelphia. Moving to Port Charlotte with her husband, John, in June 1998, from Landis Store, Pa., she worked for Winn-Dixie. Patricia was a Georgia State Champion in The Ladies Senior Sass shooting. Her shooting name was Palavering Pat. Patricia was a member of the St. Maximilian Kolbe of Port Charlotte.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, John; step-sons, Thomas (Nadine) Cosgrove, and John (Michelle) Cosgrove; grandchildren, Cory, Chris, Cody, Melissa and Stephen; brother, George Lieb, his family, Hilda, Jeanette, Anita, Patricia and Anton; sisters, Lucy (Frank Sr.) Dolny, her family Matthew, Christina and Marcus; and Matilda Sodano and her family, Frank Jr. Dorinda, Thomas, Angelina, Anthony, Joseph, Michael and Bernadette; several great-nieces and nephews; many dear friends; and neighbors. Patricia is preceded in death by her step-son, Stephen Cosgrove.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Celebration of Patricia’s life will be conducted by her nephew, The Rev. Thomas Sodano at 11a.m. Wednesday Nov. 20, 2013, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street, Port. Charlotte, FL 33948. Patricia’s final rest will follow after Mass in the Tranquility Hall, at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
