John T. Jaccoud, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, in Port Charlotte.
He was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Jamesburg, N.J., to Emille Jaccoud and Theresa Twilliger Jaccoud.
John came to Port Charlotte from East Stroudsburg, Pa., in August 2011. He was a boiler operator for National Lead Company for 33 years, and CIL company for five years, retiring in 1989 after 38 years of service. John was a member of the Elks and American Legion Post 110 of Port Charlotte, and he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia of Port Charlotte; his two daughters, Vera (Matty) Faulkner of Port Charlotte, and Christine Cruz of Woodbridge, N.J.; his son, Philip Cruz of Philadelphia, Pa.; two grandsons, Nicholas Cruz of Philadelphia, and Kenny Yanish of Indiana; his granddaughter, Tonya Williams of Ocala, Fla.; and his brother, Bob Jaccoud of Sea Isle City, N.J. He was preceded in death by his son, John.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952, with military honors by American Legion Post 110 of Port Charlotte.
