Hugh Peter Brotherton went to join his Lord and Savior and his brother, James Brotherton, Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.
He was a graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Georgia, and an active member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. Hugh was a Stephen Minister, a Sunday school teacher, worked for PGT for 13 years, and was in the Meth-O-Mates class. He is missed by wife, family and friends.
Hugh leaves behind his loving wife, Janet A. Brotherton; parents, Hugh John and Carol Brotherton; siblings, Thomas (Dawnell) Brotherton, Lisa (David) Shreve, Carol (Mark) Arslanian, Robert Brotherton, Mari Brotherton, Diane (Kevin) Hardiek, Beth (Timothy) Gustafson and Jack (Idalmus) Brotherton; sisters-in-law, Darleen Peterson, Sharon Musty, Nancy Yarbrough, Karen Duerkop and Rachel Brotherton; brothers-in-law, Emil Korbel, Harvey Korbel and Donald Musty; his children, Hugh Dwight and Crystal; granddaughter, Julie; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, 21075 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL 33952, officiated by Senior Pastor Brian James.
