Robert Randall Nuzum

Robert Randall Nuzum, 62, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at home.

He was born Dec. 30, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to Port Charlotte 12 years ago from there.

Robert was the owner of Robert Nuzum Painting of Pittsburgh for 30 years. He was an award-winning painter with the North Hills Builders Association. Robert was known to numerous family members and friends as “Randy,” as he worked for Spectrum Painting Inc. in Port Charlotte. He was a wonderful and caring man, and he will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy “DJ” Nuzum; a stepson, Mark Anatra of Sarasota, Fla., and Pittsburgh; four brothers, Edward, Bradley, Sterling and Donald Nuzum, all of Port Charlotte; four sisters, Linda Calderone and Barbara Thomas, both of Port Charlotte, Susan Newell of Pittsburgh, and Nyla Gallina of Kent, Ohio; and his best friend, Phillip Calderone of Port Charlotte and Pittsburgh.
