Anthony Salvatore DiGiovanna, 83, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at home.
He was born June 30, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Anthony and Mary DiGiovanna and grew up in Ridgewood, N.Y.
Anthony spent 39 years as a submarine designer and senior draftsman with Electric Boat Company, Groton, Conn. He moved Florida from East Lyme, Conn., with his wife, Jeannette.
Anthony is survived by his loving family, sons, Richard (Eileen) DiGiovanna of Fairfax Station, Va., Paul (Kathryn) DiGiovanna of Yorkville, Ill., Stephen (Sherry) DiGiovanna of East Lyme, Conn., and Michael (Susie) DiGiovanna of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Jean Marie DiGiovanna of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Annette (Tony) Pumo of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
