June M. (nee Loveland) Blanchard, 86, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Boston, Mass., and moved to Port Charlotte 12 years ago from Tucson, Ariz.
June grew up in Portland, Maine, and graduated from Deering High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. While in Maine they raised their two children and worked together in their family business, Blanchard Products. June had a love for her family and friends, and always enjoyed life to its fullest.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward E. Blanchard Jr. of Port Charlotte; her son, Edward E. (Connie) Blanchard III of Port Charlotte; three grandchildren, Ted (Cathy) Blanchard of Sarasota, Fla., Heather (Clay) Henson of North Port, Fla., and Carrie (Josh) Bush of Boone, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren, Everett, Caitlin and Kelsey Blanchard of Sarasota, and Brodie and Bradley Henson of North Port. June was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly, in 1998.
