William George “Bill” Ranagan Jr., 71, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, March 24, 2014.
He was born Nov. 12, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Julia Garber and William Ranagan.
Bill later lived in Vineland, N.J., before moving to Punta Gorda. He was a graduate of Vineland High School, and attended Bordentown Academy. Bill married Joyce Pritchett and had two children, Coleen and William III. He worked for the Prudential Insurance Company, until retiring to Florida. Bill was a member of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid Bridge player, and obtained the distinction of being a “Life Master” Bridge player.
He is survived by his mother, Julia Blackwell; daughter, Coleen Stephen; and brother, Walter M. (Linda) Ranagan. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce.
