Charlotte Blakeney Winters

Charlotte Blakeney Winters, 96, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla., walked into the Lord’s arms Sunday, July 6, 2014.

She was born July 18, 1917, in Worcester, Mass., to Albert Hilbert and Alice Cochrane.

Charlotte came to Port Charlotte in 1992. She belonged to The Salvation Army, the Red Hat Society of Port Charlotte, and the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, Fla., volunteering with bingo.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Roger A. (Rachel) Olson, Gayle (Craig) Withstandley and Marilyn (Donald) Manseau; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was interred in St. Petersburg.
