Richard W. DePuy, 94, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014.
He was born July 3, 1920, in Franklin, N.J., to Mae and Lyle DePuy.
Richard was a homebuilder in the Monticello, N.Y., area for over 40 years, where he was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, a past commander of VFW Post 9588, and a member of Ruddick Trowbridge American Legion Post 73. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in Germany.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard S. (Josephine “Pinky”) of Port Charlotte; daughter, Jacqueline Pere of Monticello; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Ida Mae Skinner.
Interment will be held at a later date in New York.
