Victim’s family speaks

The family of a victim believed to have been slain by a Port Charlotte High School graduate held a press conference Thursday in Tampa to plea for help in finding the alleged killer.

Ashley Atherley, 28, originally from Tampa, was stabbed to death in her San Bernardino, Calif., home between Nov. 29 and Dec. 1, according to authorities. Her husband, Edly Atherley, 29, hasn’t been seen since. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
