Englewood man killed in motorcycle crash

ENGLEWOOD EAST — A 50-year-old Englewood man was killed Tuesday night after hitting a utility pole on a motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP report released Wednesday morning stated Stephen Philbrook was southbound on a 2010 Harley-Davidson on Sea Mist Drive north of Rotonda around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. The report stated he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road. The motorcycle overturned and struck a utility pole.
