Port Charlotte man charged with grand theft

A Port Charlotte man remains in jail after being arrested on multiple charges, including grand theft and dealing in stolen property, authorities said.

Robert Martin Lewis II, 27, was arrested by a Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputy Friday for allegedly stealing jewelry and electronics from his ex-girlfriend and her parents. Lewis is accused of stealing and pawning items such as gold rings and necklaces, as well as an iPad and a television set, according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report.
