ENGLEWOOD — North Port High baseball coach Miles Mayer said that his team lacked confidence and energy in their 11-1 mercy-rule loss to Port Charlotte on Friday night.

And after Mayer relayed the message to his team, the Bobcats responded with a 14-4 mercy-rule win over Lemon Bay in six innings on Monday night at Lemon Bay High School.
