Tarpons pull away for third win in a row

PUNTA GORDA – Aaron Martins hit a three-run home run to blow open a close game, and the Charlotte High School baseball team once again used pitching and defense as its bread and butter as it defeated Mariner 6-2 on Monday in a non-district contest.

The Tarpons (16-7) won their third straight game and once again provided their pitcher, Cade Reich, with a little bit of offense.
