Mantas mount comeback to advance to District title game

ENGLEWOOD — Facing a 3-0 hole to Lake Placid in the 5A-District 12 semifinals, Lemon Bay needed a big inning if the Mantas wanted to keep their season alive.

With the aid of two wild pitches and four errors by the Dragons, Lemon Bay piled on seven runs in the third inning and senior pitcher Logan Johnson finished the complete game 9-5 win to advance the Lady Mantas to the District Championship game tonight at DeSoto County.
