PUNTA GORDA — If the Charlotte Tarpons’ first three offensive possessions Wednesday night were a harbinger of what’s to come, they’ll enjoy a successful fall campaign.

A motivated offense, with the offensive line serving as a critical component, played a large role in a dominant performance by the Tarpons in their 49-6 victory against the Palmetto Ridge Bears at the Wallace Keller Sports Complex. The Tarpons seemed to have the Midas Touch, matching the gold in their uniforms, dominating the opening quarter and the entire contest.
