ENGLEWOOD — Hardly two months into being a student at Lemon Bay after transferring from Venice in March, starting quarterback Trevor Hedges found himself leading the Manta Rays down a game-clinching drive in the final minutes against Berkeley Prep on Thursday night.

Leading 14-13 following a failed two-point conversion by the Buccaneers with just under three minutes to go, Hedges rushed for a pair of first downs to kill the clock and escape with the narrow victory at Lemon Bay High School.
