NORTH PORT — North Port High School is known for its suffocating defense and its fast break, but it was hard for the Bobcats to do either Thursday night with only one healthy starter.
Due to a rash of injuries suffered over the weekend, a handful of junior varsity players made their varsity debuts during North Port’s 65-41 loss to rival Sarasota. Bobcats coach Tom Tintor was pleased with the underclassmen effort in the defeat, but said it will take some time before they catch up to varsity speed.
