PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte High School’s battery of pitcher Courtney Sunnarborg and catcher Jessica Valerius had about as good a game as two players can have in the Tarpons’ 6-0 victory over Port Charlotte on Wednesday night.

Sunnarborg, a senior, went the distance, walking one and striking out two while scattering six hits. Valerius, a sophomore, belted two triples, a single, scored twice and had two RBIs.
