VENICE — Pitching, timely hitting and solid fundamentals all played key roles for Venice High School in its 2-0 win over Lemon Bay on Friday night.
Venice looked to make a statement early as Katelin Davis led off the game with a triple to the wall in right-center. She scored two pitches later when Taylor Baker connected for a single to right.
