WAUCHULA — DeSoto County High School’s district semifinal against Hardee went the same way its other games against the rival Wildcats did this season.
The Bulldogs made contact often and hit the ball hard, but struggled to get on base in a 5-3 loss. They were doomed by what coach Trey Hill calls “at-em balls,” hits that go right at opposing fielders rather than finding gaps.
