Some of the area’s best and well known artists will be gathering in Arcadia on Saturday, Nov. 4 to paint scenes of the town’s iconic Victorian homes or pastoral scenes. Sponsored by the DeSoto Arts and Humanities Council, the Arcadia Plein Air Paint-out invites artists to capture Arcadia’s charms on canvas or paper and compete for prizes.

This year, for the first time the event will run in conjunction with the Harvest Festival sponsored by Arcadia Main Street. The two events promise a lively crowd not only to watch artists at work and perhaps buy a painting, but also to enjoy the food, games, children’s activities and vendors at the downtown festival.
