PORT CHARLOTTE — Port Charlotte High School started its season with a 55-43 win Thursday, but it would have been a loss had it been a game of H-O-R-S-E.
The Pirates used a good defensive effort against First Baptist Academy to make up for a dismal shooting night where they missed every three-pointer they attempted and made 11 of 20 free throws. The Pirates also struggled to shoot the ball last week in the Lemon Bay Preseason Tipoff Classic.
