35th Annual Christmas Parade

Once Ariston Hemmerick, 3, spotted Santa, the last float of the parade, it took his aunt pulling him back to keep him from walking right up to the float.

After the youngster was at a safe distance Santa gave him a special one-on-one wave from his float.

Kids from the Cooper Street Recreation Center were waving and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas along the slightly new Christmas Parade route this year, leaving from the Charlotte Performing Arts Center along Carmalita Street to Taylor Road, and then to downtown Punta Gorda.
