The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will perform Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” under the baton of Maestro Raffaele Ponti at its concert Sunday at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center.

In an exciting collaboration between the orchestra and Punta Gorda’s Visual Arts Center, concertgoers will also have the opportunity to enjoy an exhibition of artwork by 10 of the VAC’s leading artists. The doors will open at 6 p.m., with participating artists — identified with name tags displaying their works of art — on hand to talk with audience members before the show and during intermission. Some of the artists will also talk about their inspiration and creative process in the free pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m.
