PORT CHARLOTTE — It couldn’t have started out much better for Port Charlotte High School on Thursday night, as the Pirates hit six of their first seven shots and took an eight point lead over Lehigh in a Region 6A-3 quarterfinal.

But the Lightning unleashed a barrage of 3-point shots in the second quarter to close the gap to one at halftime, and went on to defeat Port Charlotte 59-54.
