CHARLOTTE HARBOR — A city of Punta Gorda funding request to help pay for a proposed reverse-osmosis water plant likely will be denied, an official with the Southwest Florida Water Management District said.
Water district Executive Director Robert Beltran met with the Sun’s editorial board to discuss issues relating to the agency Tuesday. One topic discussed was the city’s funding request, which comes with an estimated $28 million price tag.
