PUNTA GORDA — The City Council’s support of a proposed penny sales-tax extension may have been a foregone conclusion, but the lifespan of the tax is not.
Council members unanimously voted to support the penny sales tax, as well as a proposal to levy the tax for eight years instead of six, during their regular meeting Wednesday. The duration of the sales-tax extension will be discussed at Tuesday’s Charlotte County Commission meeting.
