PORT CHARLOTTE — A year ago, when Debbie Nemser received a violation notice for the trailer parked in her Port Charlotte driveway, she was shocked. After all, her husband is a contractor and needs the trailer to haul tools and equipment to various job sites.
Nemser believed she was unfairly targeted. If you drive up and down any street in Port Charlotte, she said you’re likely to see a trailer parked in somebody’s driveway. To prove her point, that’s exactly what she did, reporting seven of her neighbors as violators.
