NORTH PORT — Are there an inordinate number of registered sex offenders and predators moving to North Port? It’s a question posed both by the Sun and our readers, and what we found out might be surprising.
Since the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office started an initiative last year to more frequently alert citizens of registered sex offenders and predators in their neighborhoods, 29 people have registered.
