Cindi Murphy is not a baker. She thinks of herself as an artist. And when people step into her bakery, Sugar Island Cupcakes, they will immediately understand why.
Although she attended Herron School of Art and Design for 2 years, Murphy has, what she calls, a “natural talent.” Since she was a child, she designed and made her own toys and clothes. That artistic ability has carried over into her baking skills.
