I come to you today about five pounds heavier after gorging myself since my recent column on gourmet hushpuppy dining.

I fought it, but gave in to fellow columnist Steve Baumann’s idea that I write about all the great folks (about 30) who emailed or called me about where to get good hushpuppies.
