SWF Honor Flight president Don Vecoli accepts two checks from Penny Fahrbach, one for $1,142 from the Windmill Village Social Club and one for $1,142 from the Veterans Affairs Committee of the DAR Charlotte Bay Chapter. This will help send five veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the monuments.

J essica Boles, Director of marketing for Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, got in touch recently to ask that we let folks know the Charlotte Behavioral Health Care Crisis Stabilization Unit is in extreme need of Guardian Advocates.

Boles wrote: “GAs will be appointed by the court to act as an informed decision-maker for a person who has been deemed incompetent to consent to his or her own mental health treatment. GAs will serve on a voluntary basis as needed for patients who do not have a close family member willing or able to make medical and psychiatric treatment decisions on their behalf.
