This old song, celebrating a famous lion tamer, often comes to mind as our governor and state Legislature launch the annual 60-day session Tuesday. You wouldn’t think they could do too much damage in that short period of time, but they already have filed more than 1,300 bills. Some are just to make a campaign contributor or a lobbyist happy. Only about one bill in five will make it through the maze of committees and conflicting interests.
