Do airlines have to honor 'glitch' fares?

T he day after Christmas last year, Devin Brooke got a wonderful present: Round trip airfare on Delta Airlines departing Feb. 13 from Los Angeles to Fort Myers for $5.15. (Yes, there’s a decimal after the 5.) With $44 in additional taxes and fees, the total cost was $49.15. The struggling 25-year-old artist could afford to visit her Aunt Bobbie, who was renting a home in Punta Gorda. Both were excited with this Christmas “gift.”

“Honestly I thought it was some sort of promo or day-after-Christmas sale,” said Devin.
