“There is no more remembrance of the wise than of the fool forever. Since all that now is will be forgotten in the days to come. And how does a wise man die? As the fool!” (Ecclesiastes 2:16 )
Solomon’s desire was to know how man was to live in this world. God had given Solomon the wisdom that he had asked for, and Solomon used that wisdom to search out what was important in life. Solomon came to the conclusion that all he had done brought him no satisfaction; instead, he called it vanity and vexation of the spirit.
