Arenal wins higher post among police chiefs

Punta Gorda Police Chief Albert “Butch” Arenal recently was selected as the second vice president of the Florida Police Chiefs Association. A unanimous vote of his peers won him the post, according to a press release from the Punta Gorda Police Department.

Arenal previously served the FPCA as third vice president, acting as the executive board liaison to the Public/Private Partnership Committee and the University Police Chiefs Committee, as well as being appointed as the FPCA representative to the State Domestic Security Oversight Council, according to the release.
