FGCU athletics leaders tour Charlotte Sports Park

Charlotte Stone Crabs General Manager Jared Forma gave a tour Tuesday of Charlotte Sports Park to Director of Athletics for Florida Gulf Coast University Ken Kavanagh and others from the university. A volunteer advisory committee for FGCU Herald Court Centre in Punta Gorda arranged the visit as part of an upcoming free and public event planned at the park to raise awarenes of FGCU in Charlotte County.

Director of Athletics for Florida Gulf Coast University Ken Kavanagh walked through Charlotte Sports Park on Tuesday during his first tour of the stadium, in preparation for an event to raise awareness about the university’s presence in the county.

“I would love to play here,” said FGCU Baseball Head Coach Dave Tollett, after taking a tour of the park that is home to the Charlotte Stone Crabs and to Spring Training for the Tampa Bay Rays.
