Promenades Mall asks public for help

Winn-Dixie recently invested $6 million to renovate its grocery store, leading what Parkside residents and businesses hope will be a resurgence of Promenades Mall.

PARKSIDE — Kevin Graham remembers well his teen years at Promenades Mall, then the place to be for young and old.

He recalls taking his girl to see “Footloose,” the new release playing on one of the two screens at the movie theater. There was also a Radio Shack, Eckerd’s drugs, Beall’s, a record shop, and an ice cream store.
