PUNTA GORDA — Narcotics detectives arrested two people after executing a search warrant at a South Punta Gorda Heights residence earlier this morning. One man was a convicted felon found in possession of two firearms. Members of the Narcotics Unit and the Street Crimes Unit went to a dwelling in the 15500 block of Orchid Drive in Punta Gorda to execute a search warrant they had previously obtained. They located Jesse Dahlberg, 28, of that address, and Savannah J. Gardner, 24, of the 1600 block of White Pine Court in Punta Gorda, at the house.
During the search of the house, detectives located more than two pounds of marijuana, two white pills identified as hydrocodone, a loaded semi-automatic handgun with more ammunition and a black digital scale in a safe. They found additional marijuana and another fully loaded semi-automatic handgun in the living room of the house. Inside Gardner’s purse, detectives located a metal spoon with a residue that tested positive for opiates. Dahlberg was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of hydrocodone, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was being booked at the Charlotte County Jail and will be held without bond. Gardner was being booked on charges of possession of opiates, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. She will be held on a $4,500 bond.
