PORT CHARLOTTE — Hilarion Pagan, 82, alone in his Port Charlotte home, suffered a heart attack about 9 p.m. Nov. 30.
But strong of will and strong of body after black-belt martial arts training, he took nitroglycerin, went back to bed and waited until 7 a.m. Sunday to call his daughter, Cathy Silva, who lived nearby.
